Cosmic Neman
Cosmic Neman, who doesn’t put much faith in signs from the heavens but rather in those conjured up by percussion and analog synthesizers, is coming to make the walls of the gallery vibrate.
A musician, composer and part-time DJ, he is a founding member of Herman Düne and Zombie Zombie, two bands as different from one another as they are unique within the French music scene.
An avid music lover and record collector, he takes an unconventional, non-academic approach to music, moving freely between classic rock and electronic music, krautrock and new wave, while also embracing traditional music and trance from around the world—from Africa to Asia and South America.

Musician, composer: drums/percussion, sound effects, and DJ in his spare time.
A founding member of Herman Düne and Zombie Zombie, two bands as different as they are unconventional within the French music scene, he has helped bring their music to audiences around the world. Both bands have received acclaim from John Peel on the BBC and Rough Trade, performed at Optimo nights in Glasgow, been sampled by Lady Gaga (Venus/Rocket #9, 2013), and released records on labels including Source Et, EMI, City Slang, Versatile, and, more recently, Born Bad Records.
In 2022, Zombie Zombie released the concept album Vae Vobis, featuring vocals processed through a vocoder and sung in Latin. The project led to Un Voyage Halluciné, a creation presented at the Philharmonie de Paris in May 2023, featuring visuals by Philippe Druillet, founder of Métal Hurlant and the artist behind Zombie Zombie’s two most recent album covers.
Zombie Zombie’s latest record, Funk Kraut, was released by Born Bad Records in spring 2025 and led to a performance at the legendary Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands in April 2025.
Zombie Zombie is also active in the world of cinema, having composed music for several films, including Loubia Hamra by Narimane Mari, winner of the FID Marseille prize in 2013, as well as Irreprochable (2015) and L’Heure de la sortie (2018), both directed by Sébastien Marnier. The band has also created music for the performing arts, including Slow Futur (2016) by Elsa Guérin & Martin Palisse, and has collaborated with artists such as Xavier Veilhan for the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017, where France was represented at the French Pavilion through his musical pavilion project, Studio Venezia.
As a solo artist, he has composed music for several stage productions, including Futuro Antico (2019) for Martin Palisse, Trilokia (2021–2023) for Finnish artist Jani Nuuntinen, and the musical theatre production JACK (2024) by Halory Goerger.
He has also developed numerous collaborations with musicians from Nova Materia, Turzi, Gilbert Cohen, Peter Kernel and others. In 2022, he took part in the Extra Muros residency at the Musée d’Ethnographie de Genève (MEG), resulting in a record released on Flee Records in 2023, featuring international artists such as Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Prins Emmanuel, Nabihah Iqbal and Maria Spivak.
A passionate music lover and record collector, his approach to music is deliberately non-academic, moving between electronic, contemporary and techno music, krautrock and new wave, while also drawing on traditional music and trance from around the world. His musical explorations cross continents, from Africa to Asia and South America.
Every month, he hosts his radio show Les Témoins du Futur on Rinse France, offering a glimpse into the eclecticism of his musical universe.
