Yann-Joël Collin pousse d’un cran le radicalisme de Beckett en se demandant, avec humour, que faire pendant cette attente. C’est prendre le risque, acteurs et public, de rencontrer le visage de notre humanité. « Ils aperçurent soudain, disait Tadeusz Kantor, l’image de l’homme, criarde, tragiquement clownesque, comme s’ils le voyaient pour la première fois, comme s’ils venaient de se voir eux-mêmes ».

Each member of the audience is invited to wait for Godot, who as everyone knows, will not come. So why wait? Yann-Joël Collin takes Beckett’s radical theater to the next stage, with this often comic exploration of what to do while we wait. Cast and audience alike engage in the risky business of confronting our own humanity. ‘Suddenly,’ wrote Tadesz Kantor, ‘they saw the image of mankind, strident, tragic, clown-like, as if they were seeing it for the first time, as if they had just seen their own selves.’
