Made in the Cité
The Theater initiates artistic projects born within the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris and places residents from all corners of the world at the heart of the project, giving them a voice through artist-led initiatives or entrusting them with programming assignments. Blending creation and sharing, Made in the Cité celebrates the power of human connections and showcases the Cité internationale ecosystem as a true artistic and collective laboratory.

FAIRE PARLER LES ARCHIVES DES NON-ALIGNÉS Mila Turajlić
Serbian filmmaker Mila Turajlić has spent years exhuming the images filmed by Tito’s cameraman, who documented the birth of the Non-Aligned Movement. Faire parler les archives des non-alignés is a documentary performance: she edits these images live on stage, and makes audible what a decolonizing world was then trying to invent. A forgotten story that speaks to our present. Mila Turajlić will be running a workshop exclusively for residents of the Cité internationale. LA BIBLIOTHÈQUE Fanny de Chaillé
What if, instead of borrowing a book, you borrowed its author? Originally created for the Bibliothèque de la Cité internationale, Fanny de Chaillé’s Library comes back to where it began. Volunteers turned living books are waiting for you in the stacks. Twenty minutes, one to one: you choose, they tell. An experience at once embodied and intimate. Reading becomes listening
CUEILLETTE DE RÊVES – PLACE DES RÊVES PUBLICS Collectif
Six months before the presidential election, six months after, Faire lieux sets out to gather them across the Cité internationale with historians, psychoanalysts and artists who collect dreams the way one would take the pulse of an era: intimate seismographs, collective signals. The gathering opens in autumn with a day alongside the Laboratoire du temps qui passe, “Rêver un lieu, rêver un lien: mental health, ecology, politics”. A public drawn restitution follows in spring.
